Why the long face?
Mr DogHorse and I have put together another animation for the TUC, this one in support of Community's campaign to sign up workers in betting shops. A song and dance extravaganza it features a dog in a tutu and a horse that ended up rather John McCririckesque. Why the long face? (355KB Flash)
Many thanks to Mickey the Greyhound for posing for photos at very short notice asking only for some smarties in payment; he is obviously a very lovely dog and, frankly, looks fabulous in a frock.

Talk like a pirate
The 19th September is International Talk Like A Pirate Day so DogHorse and I thought we'd help with a Pants Pirate Messenger... it's a pirate chimp with fancy pants and a piratical turn of phrase to send shivers down your timbers. Enjoy!
On an entirely different topic I've just been mooching around BBC news and this confuses me. Why won't they call it a marriage? Surely it's either a gay marriage (which I have no problem with) OR it's something qualitatively different in which case it should be open to all, not just homosexual couples. Is this just small-minded semantic jiggery-pokery for the benefit of religions? Hmm.

The Swizz of the Cards
Another pop at the ID cards legislation featuring dancing and prancing politicians, a policeman who thinks he's a politician and one extraordinarily cute dog.

I can't shake the feeling that ID cards are a very expensive solution looking for a problem. It reminds me of the politician's logic as descibed in 'Yes, Minister'.
"We must do something.
This is something.
Therefore we must do it."
Oh, the animation has a mouse in a pink tutu and a sparkly crown too; the Good Witch of the Kazoo.
